Once Upon A Time,

EverDale was a lush land with soil rich in magic. thick green foliage coated the ground, leaves shone everlasting green throughout all seasons, and creatures that embodied the nature of true, pure magic walked the lands. the era of Gods.
The Ancient Ones | The Goddesses ruled the world. Creatures were larger than the looming trees, some reaching to the endless skies. The Chrysalis | The Caregivers were the first to descend into the world, having taken care of the ancient creatures with the guidance of the Goddesses.
the Chrysalis slowly left the world as the other civilizations, like the Sunwoven and the Umbracrowned, started to establish it's place in EverDale.

⸺  The Wilted Era

Then The Goddesses Disappeared,

left with a pile of ashes, the Stardrops | The Pets wailed for their Goddesses back. it was chaos; the followers were in disbelief, Stardrops broken-hearted and frozen when their masters suddenly disappeared.
first, it was to remind everyone of reality, that this was real. then, it was figuring out how to rule without their rulers. The temples shoved the respective Stardrops into the leader role.
vorthis lashed out and sealed herself in the first temple of the night, burying herself in sorrow and disconnecting from the world. while koreth played as a foolish pet that didn't know a thing about leading to buy his time before the inevitable, taking his master's place and accepting that she was gone.
the dirt is dry, the great creatures fell one by one, leaving giant fossils around the world, and the sky faded into greys.
